John Michael Vergenz 1973-2010

Beloved Son and Brother, John Michael Vergenz, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the age of 36. He was a loyal Twins fan, a Batman and Food Network fanatic and a fantastic chef. His sense of humor was matched only by his knowledge of Jeopardy trivia.

John was a graduate of The Academy of the Holy Angels (1991) and attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He spent many happy, adventerous years as an Uptown resident, working at local restaurants and speeding through the streets on his bike. During the summers, he visited as many ballparks as possible, taking in games with a cold beer and hot pretzel.

His memory and passion will live on in his parents, John and Barbara Vergenz; Sister, Saralyn Vergenz Ewald; Brother-In-Law, David; Nephew, Anders; and a special orange cat named Koufax. The lives he touched also include beloved Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

We take comfort knowing he is in the arms of grandparents who passed before him and surrounded by four-legged friends.

We will be publishing information regarding a celebration of his life and memorial shortly.
